Our story

1965

In 1965, during his search at a German trade fair for suitable forklifts for his timber business in Bonheiden, Alfons Keuleers learned that the British forklift manufacturer Bonser was looking for someone to distribute their forklifts in the Benelux. Since the company of brothers Alfons and Jules Keuleers already had a technical service department, this seemed like a viable opportunity. Thus, Keuleers Lifttrucks was founded.

1969

Soon after, Keuleers Lifttrucks was asked to rent out these machines for both short and long-term periods. Under the leadership of Paul Keuleers, son of Alfons, this activity was further developed. In 1969, a department was established in the Port of Antwerp at quay number 184.

1979

In 1979, new offices, a showroom, and a workshop were opened in Aartselaar on the Boomsesteenweg. The operations from Bonheiden were transferred to Aartselaar.

1984

Around 1984, the collaboration with Bonser ended as the company halted production for economic reasons. This marked the moment for Paul Keuleers to no longer commit to a single brand, despite several offers. That same year, the company also moved to a larger location on Vosseschijnstraat.

1993

From 1993, Keuleers Lifttrucks began specializing in container handling.

Once again, a location change became necessary, this time to the current building on Noorderlaan in Antwerp.

2008

In July of that year, the company faced a hard blow with the sudden passing of managing director Paul Keuleers. The operations were continued by his son Mark, who had been active in the company since 1999. Mark continued the traditional course that his father and grandfather had set, a course that had proven its worth.

2019

Keuleers opens a new location on the Left Bank. To this day, Keuleers remains your partner in renting forklifts, container handling machines, port equipment, and more.
